One of the oldest volleyball clubs in Oklahoma, Kaizen was founded in 1994 by Mike Freeman with the goal of developing both amateur athletes and coaches. Our focus is on both our girls’ and boys’ program at Kaizen and Coach Freeman strives to create a program where athletes - whether competing at the local, regional, or national level - learn the importance of working together while developing the self-confidence to be a leader. Seeking to develop athletes that excelled both on and off the volleyball court, a central tenant of the Kaizen philosophy was to keep the costs of playing volleyball as low as reasonable, and when able, to provide financial assistance to those athletes in need.
Reorganized in 2019 as the Kaizen Volleyball Development Club, an Oklahoma non-profit corporation (also known as the Kaizen Volleyball Club), Kaizen remains true to Coach Freeman's vision. As a 501(c)(3) tax exempt public charity, Kaizen is working to continually improve the quality and scope of its programs, while building a financial aid fund to enable us to lower the barriers to participation in amateur volleyball competition at all levels.
Kaizen has a dedicated coaching staff committed to the highest level of excellence - so both athletes and coaches are held to the highest standards of ethics, sportsmanship, and commitment.
