Kodomo, meaning "child" in Japanese, is a perfect fit for our youth league this fall. We’re excited to provide you and your child with a deeper understanding of the sport of volleyball!
Not only will your child learn essential skills on the court, but our coaches will also guide them in developing teamwork, leadership, and character.
Each child will receive a T-shirt for game nights, which will be held on Saturdays over seven weekends. On the eighth weekend, the teams will participate in an all-day tournament featuring pool play and bracket matches—giving families a first-hand experience of club volleyball!
Practices will be scheduled either on Mondays/Wednesdays or Tuesdays/Thursdays, in either the 5:30–7:00 pm or 7:00–8:30 pm time slots.
Practices, your child will need volleyball shoes, kneepads, and cooling practice attire. Don't forget to bring a sealable water bottle for hydration throughout practice. Parents, you're welcome to stay and watch.

What makes Kaizen’s Kodomo Developmental League different from other volleyball programs, such as YMCA and local city sports associations?
Although those programs can be enjoyable, they also come with their shortcomings. Often, the coaching is subpar, and there is a lack of a consistent training approach. Without effective coaching, each year tends to reinforce poor skills and bad habits that need to be dismantled before proper techniques can be developed. Additionally, many programs require little more than a few dozen volleyballs, with no significant financial investment.
